What is the Internet?
A network of networks connecting computers/people
around the world allowing them to share information
and services.
The WWW (World Wide Web) is a collection of
electronic documents that are held on HTTP
(Hypertext Transfer Protocol) servers around the
globe. Documents on the Web are formatted with
HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) & can contain
text, graphics, sound, video, etc.
Netscape Communicator & Internet Explorer are
examples of browsers which allow access to the World
Wide Web
