Motivation
• WSMO
– Mission: development of a language for describing various aspects of
semantic web services
– Starting point: Web Service Modeling Framework (WSMF)
• Semantic annotation + web service = semantic web service
• How to make use of semantic annotations?
– Full potential can only be reached by automated processing of
semantic annotations
– This naturally leads to reasoning and inferencing over web service
descriptions in WSMO
– What is needed?
• Formal semantics description in of WSMO
