Research from the Center of Applied
Research in Educational Technology
indicates:
Technology is most effective when integrated with
curriculum content
Students’ performances are enhanced when they use
technology in pairs and collaborative groups
21st Century Skills
Digital learners process information at “twitch speed” with the
ability to determine its usefulness in a matter of seconds
Digital learners learn best through trial and error
Today’s students perceive technology as an artifact of their culture

If I can assist you in just
ONE way …
★ Increase your Repertoire of Technology Tools
(Remember to offer multiple format CHOICES to your students, to appeal to
the students’ range of abilities.)
Let’s look at some sample tools
That you can offer to to your students as choices for their
projects
OR
That you can use to create inspirational messages or aids in
your classroom

Let’s give it a try…..
Get into groups OR work alone on a project you
WOULD use in YOUR classroom…..
Note: I’ve put some images in Shared Documents for
quick practice with these technology sites.
SHARING. . . . . .
FINAL REMINDERS AS YOU USE
TECHNOLOGY IN YOUR CLASSROOMS….
Identify student learning styles to customize learning experiences by
better meeting student needs.
Offer students a choice when establishing projects and desired
outcomes.
Technology integration should be seamless and meaningful, it's not
something "Extra".
Start simple and build upon to establish an instructional repertoire.
Use technology resources that are accessible 24/7.
Ask your digitally connected students for assistance, they will enjoy it!!
Be practical and realistic with yourself and your students.
Have fun!
