How Stats & WMR Work
Millennium counts two kinds of data:
Fields
Transactions
(Statistics)
(Web Management Reports)
Record fields are used to
describe items, orders, or
other information in the
database.
A transaction is any process by
Millennium that causes a change
in any record field, or an
exchange of information in the
software or WebPAC.
How Stats & WMR Don’t Work
•Indefinite storage
•Moving backwards and forwards in time
•Providing comprehensive analysis
•i.e., “information” as opposed to “data”
•Field-specific information
•Cf. Create Lists can find out one kind of
information at a time
