Transcript important part of identity

Facebook Forum:
This is classic case of society vs
individual. The individual did not
harm or hurt anyone. But the
behaviour is not as per the
society's norm. Society will force
the individual to conform. Been
like this and will always be like
this.
1. Sex has no intrinsic value
2. My sexuality is a very important part
of identity
3. The only rule that applies to sex is
freely given consent
4. I expect to be affirmed for my sexual
choices – it is my civil right
6He
who regards one day as special, does so
to the Lord. He who eats meat, eats to the
Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who
abstains, does so to the Lord and gives thanks
to God. 7For none of us lives to himself alone
and none of us dies to himself alone. 8If we
live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die
to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we
belong to the Lord.
9For this very reason, Christ died and returned
to life so that he might be the Lord of both
the dead and the living.

26You
are all sons of God through faith in
Christ Jesus, 27for all of you who were
baptized into Christ have clothed
yourselves with Christ. 28There is neither
Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor
female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
29If you belong to Christ, then you are
Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to
the promise.
Galatians 3
In the most comprehensive study of its kind,
Dr Michael Bailey, of Northwestern
University, has been studying 400 sets of
twins to determine if some men are
genetically predisposed to being gay.

Homosexuality is only partly genetic with sexuality
mostly based on environmental and social factors,
scientists believe.
Dr Alan Sanders, associate Professor of Psychiatry
at Northwestern University, who led the study said
that it was it was an 'oversimplification’ to suggest
there was a 'gay gene.’ We don’t think genetics is
the whole story. It’s not.
Interestingly no similar genes have been
discovered which influence female homosexuality.
“No-body has found something like this in
women,” he added. Dr Bailey said environmental
factors were likely to have the biggest impact on
homosexuality.
God
3They
forbid people to marry and order
them to abstain from certain foods,
which God created to be received with
thanksgiving by those who believe and
who know the truth. 4For everything
God created is good, and nothing is to
be rejected if it is received with
thanksgiving, 5because it is consecrated
by the word of God and prayer.

9Do
you not know that the wicked will not
inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be
deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor
idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes
nor homosexual offenders 10nor thieves nor
the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor
swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
11And that is what some of you were. But
you were washed, you were sanctified, you
were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus
Christ and by the Spirit of our God. 1 Cor 6
