chromosomes
(XXY)
A recessive trait
Abnormal body proportions
Infertility
Tall height
Gynecomastia
Many have normal lives but some are shortened by
a few years
This is not curable but treatable
The treatment for this disorder is:
Testosterone therapy which helps
› Grow body hair
› Appearance of muscles
› Concentration
› Mood, energy, and strength
The man is most likely unable to have a
child and start a family
It may not be diagnosed until puberty
They sometimes go through emotional
and depressing times
Men are more vulnerable to other
female diseases
