When da Vinci was little, he drew a lot of pictures of plants,
insects, animals and birds. He drew what he saw in his
country side.
He began studying art at the age of 14 as an apprentice under
Andrea del Verrocchio and at age 20 helped Verrocchio
complete Baptism of Christ – one of the few existing works
from his youth.
