Chateau Hrotovice

Information
Built in Renaissance style at the end
of the 16th century.
The square courtyard has wooden
arcades on the ground floor;
frescoes are preserved in the
chateau chapel.
Reconstruction
It got its present shape in the first
third of the 18th century when it
underwent overall reconstruction and
a Baroque adaptation.
Facts
In 1845, the Sins, a Greek family,
aquired the place and adapted it into
apartments and offices. The famous
gallery was established.
Today, it is the seat of the municipal
office. There is also a memorial hall of
the painter Bohumil Zvěřina, who
was born near the castle.
