What are carotenoids?
• Molecules that have antioxidant
activities
• Beta-carotene is an example that is
common in fruits & vegetables
• Beta-carotene rapidly degrades when
exposed to heat & light
• Beta-carotene is a major bioactive in

MonaVie Research
• One small human trial with only 12 people
• Compared MonaVie to potato flakes
• Demonstrated that MonaVie produced slightly
more antioxidant effects than potato flakes
• The high ORAC score of MonaVie does not mean
that it does anything in the body
