ABSTRACT
The effect of Indian Noni on psychomotor
performance was studied in human
volunteer by digital letter substitution
method. Mild CNS stimulant, caffeine
was used as reference drug, significant
improvement
in
the
psychomotor
performance was noted in human
volunteer taking Indian Noni. The effect
was more than that of control and also
that of reference drug.
INTRODUCTION
Mild CNS stimulant like caffeine
theophylline
etc
can
improve
psychomotor performance such as
detection,
perception,
recognition,
processing and integration simple
exercise like digital letter substitution
etc may produce adequate test for the
effect of Indian Noni on psychomotor
performance of the individual.
MATERIALS AND METHODS
Human volunteers are explained about the
concept of psychomotor performance tests
and procedural modality. Give a paper
containing 10x10 columns and rows as shows

The volunteers are asked to write down
letter against the number as per that given
in the key within 10 min. After 10 min total
attempted versus wrong attempts are
calculated and a score is obtained.
A teaspoonful of Indian Noni and a cup of
125ml of hot drink (containing 2.5gm
coffee) is given to the volunteer. After 30
min of Indian Noni & Coffee, the test is
repeated scores are calculated again
mean errors are calculated before and
after the treatment with Indian Noni and
Coffee.
