Unlike any other form of violence
because it is accomplished through
sexual acts

Drug/Date Rape (administration of a drug
against the individuals wishes with or without
their knowledge, which incapacitates or
disorientates the individual with the intent of
carrying out a sexual assault. Alcohol is
included as a drug).

experience sexual abuse
Figures vary depending on how statistics are gathered & analysed
Women are 2 & 3 times more likely to be
sexually abused than men
Male rape is seriously under reported
resulting in poor statistical data
