THE REGULATE, CONTROL, and
TAX CANNABIS ACT OF 2010
PROPOSITION 19 IS A CHAOTIC
INITIATIVE FILLED WITH MAJOR FLAWS

UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES FOR
CALIFORNIA
PROPOSITION 19 POSES A MAJOR
THREAT TO PUBLIC SAFETY IN
CALIFORNIA AND WILL MAKE OUR
ROADS, WORKPLACES AND

PROPOSITION 19 DOES NOT REGULATE
MARIJUANA LIKE TOBACCO OR
ALCOHOL. RATHER, IT LEAVES TO
LOCAL GOVERNMENT THE TASK FOR
REGULATING MARIJUANA WITHIN THEIR
JURISDICTION. LOCAL GOVERNMENTS
WILL NEED TO DEVELOP AND FUND
ADEQUATE RESOURCES TO PROPERLY
REGULATE THE USE OF THIS DRUG
CALIFORNIA ALREADY ALLOWS FOR THE
LEGAL USE OF MARIJUANA FOR MEDICAL
REASONS AS PART OF THE
COMPASSIONATE USE ACT
(PROPOSITION 215. ENACTED IN 1996).
INCREASED YOUTH ACCESS TO MARIJUANA
INITIATIVE OVERRIDES ALL OTHER LAWS
