Drug Overdose Deaths - Conclusions
• Since 2006, drug overdose deaths are on a
significant rise.
• More males than females are overdosing.
• Primary age group impacted between 21 and 60.
• Male impact peaks at the 21-30 age spectrum, while
female impact peaks at a 41-50 age bracket.
• Drug overdoses in males are predominantly
accidental.
• Females use drug overdose as a means of suicide
more than males.

Drug Overdose Deaths - Conclusions
• May, September, and January (in that order) are
the leading months of death activity so far.
• Female deaths appear most active in May and
September. Male deaths occur more regularly.
• Most deaths are occurring in the City of
Watertown.
• Most deaths are occurring at people’s homes.
• Civilian deaths far outnumber military.
