Legalizing Marijuana

What Is Marijuana




A mix of green, brown, or gray mixture of dried
shredded leaves.
The leaves come from a cannabis plant also known
as the “hemp plant”.
When consumed it alters the mind in a
hallucinogenic fashion.
Because of the chemical tetrahydrocannabinol
( THC ) it induces relaxation and heightens senses.
What's The Issue?

Marijuana is harmful to the human and can be
openly abused by anyone who consumes this drug.

Not only does it have short term effects like
temporary impairment
It also causes the heart rate to increase by more
than 50 percent, and causes acute panic anxiety.
The government doesn’t want people using it
because the use of marijuana might cause harm to
others.




Studies show that the regular use of marijuana has
played a role in cancer and many respiratory
problems.
Marijuana users are sick for more days of the year
rather than someone who smokes tobacco.
Damages our immune system which impairs the
ability of T – Cells in the lungs’ immune defense
system against infectious diseases.
Medical uses ( Pros )



Marijuana have many therapeutically uses.
Stimulates appetite, controls nausea and vomiting
associated with cancer chemotherapy.
Marijuana has analgesic features , which means
that it can shadow unwanted pain and aches.
Economical & Environmental
uses ( Pros )



Studies show that there isn't one plant on earth that produces
as much paper as the hemp plant.
Fewer toxins are produced from paper from the hemp plant
than any other tree.
Marijuana has been tested and could be a safe alternative
from fossil fuels.
The revenue from taxing marijuana could reach 2.4 million
dollars a year.
