NHS Services for Adults in Surrey
Howard Childs: Community Behaviour Specialist, Surrey and
Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
A Brief Overview, focusing on mental health and wellbeing,
and learning disability services.
What you can expect:
Health services for adults in Surrey work with the
accompanying health difficulties (co morbidities) for
people diagnosed on the Autistic Spectrum
GP and Surrey Primary Care Trust
(NHS Surrey) services.
For most non-crisis health situations the GP is the first
place to call.
The NHS often offers a stepped care approach (example
on handout).
