The mission of the S.A.P.H.E. Office is
to support healthy lifestyle choices
regarding alcohol/other drug use by
providing resources, education and
counseling to Syracuse University
students

• Provide broad based substance abuse prevention and
education programming
• Direct and coordinate substance abuse prevention and
education efforts for the Syracuse University campus
community
• Provide individual and group substance abuse counseling,
intervention and referral services to over 350 students
annually
• Conduct scholarly research on college substance abuse
Engage students in experiential learning opportunities
including research and evaluation, clinical internships, and
public health communication
