How does Ecstasy Effect My

their mouth and throat will feel dry, there is a rise in
heart rate and blood pressure, their jaw feels tense
(often people chew gum to ease this), sweating
increases and appetite is suppressed.
How Ecstasy Effects the Body
Muscle tension, involuntary teeth clenching,
blurred vision, rapid eye movements,
dizziness, & fatigue.
Blood pressure & heart rate to increase to
dangerous levels.
Can lead to kidney, liver, or heart failure.
Problems with Ecstasy
Dealers often mix Ecstasy with LSD, DXM, PCP,
prescription medication, even caffeine derivatives
that can speed up the heart rate to dangerously high
levels.
Ecstasy drains the brain of an important chemical
called seratonin
Ecstasy users may encounter problems similar to
those experienced by amphetamine and cocaine
users, including addiction.
MDMA-related fatalities at raves have been reported.
The stimulant effects of the drug, which enable the
user to dance for extended periods, combined with
the hot, crowded conditions usually found at raves
can lead to dehydration, hyperthermia, and heart or
kidney failure.
Risks and Recovery
Ecstasy costs about $15-$60 a dose.
If you stop you will become depressed and will
have trouble sleeping.
