Drug
Pharmacokinetics
Atropine
Absorption: Oral administration, IM, inhalation, or endotracheal
administration. After IV administration, peak effects in heart rates occur
within 3-4 minutes. Well distributed throughout the body and crosses into
the CNS, across the placenta, and can distribute into the milk in small
quantities.
Metabolism: Liver Half-life 2-3 hrs
Excretion into the urine. Approximately 30-50% unchanged into the urine.
Cimetidine
Absorption: Oral, IM, IV; Rapidly absorbed after oral administration and
peak levels occur in 45 to 90 minutes. The half-life of
Cimetidineis approximately 1.5-2 hours.
Metabolism: Liver
Excretion: 75% unchanged excretion in urine by IV administration
48% unchanged excretion in urine by oral administration
Sodium
Bicarbonate
(NaHCO3)
Absorption: Oral: Well absorbed
Elimination: Reabsorbed by kidney and <1% is excreted by urine
