They can be found in various
parts of town and in all kinds of
neighborhoods.

Progress in Bibb County
• Mercer Village replaced many abandoned
buildings.
• The Terminal Station was remodeled and
is now being used again.
• Gateway Center was created out of an old
building by remodeling.
Mercer Village replaced several run down and
abandoned buildings in downtown Macon.

Conclusion
While Bibb County has a large number of
abandoned buildings and homes there are
efforts being made to eliminate as many of
them as possible. We can look forward to
more rebuilds, remodels and removals to
beautify our county.
