• The Balearic Islands are Spain's second most visited region
• The Balearic archipelago consists of four islands (Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza,
Formentera)
• Population of 1 103 000
• Average annual temperatures of 16 ° C
• Peak season for tourism is in summer months (June-September)
• By taking tax of 1-2€ per visitor, they try to make the community more
sustainable
Transportation
It is easy to get to and from the Balearic Islands by transportation means such
as planes, ferries or boats.
There is a wide range of transportation within the islands such as local bus
networks and taxis.
Good alternative means of transport on the island to get around the many
narrow mountain roads include motorcycles, scooters or mountain bikes.
There are also numerous car rental opportunities on the islands.
