 Covers an area of 4.44 million square kilometers (3 % of the
Earth’s total land area)
 A Population of approximately 625 million people (8,8% of world
population)
 Third largest economy after China dan Japan
 Combined nominal GDP of more than US$ 2 trillion and is
estimated to exceed US$ 3 trillion by 2016
 ASEAN Archipelagic Sea-lane contributes to 45% of the world
sea trade
 Proved its stability during the 2008 crisis and is currently
showing its resilience amidst the global crisis
ASEAN Trade Performance

ASEAN Collected GDP in 2014 stood at USD 2,57 trillion.

Per-Capita ASEAN Average GDP in 2014 was at USD 4.130, a near
doubling compared to that was in 2007.

ASEAN’s export rose by more than 50% since 2007 to USD 1.3 trillion in
2014, with with China emerging as the top destination for ASEAN exports
since 2011, standing at USD 150.4 billion (11.6%), followed by EU-28 (10.2
%), the United States (9.5%), and Japan (9.3%).

Intra-ASEAN exports remained resilient at 25.5 per cent of ASEAN’s total
exports.

FDI inflows to ASEAN reached US$ 136.2 billion in 2014 or an increase of
15,7% from the previous year.

EU27 still as the top FDI source to ASEAN with a share of 29,3% percent,
followed by Japan (9,8 percent), dan The US (9,6% percent).
