Overall SPUTNIC conclusions
Improve the cost effectiveness of PT system’s investment and operation
Increase the attractiveness of PT system for existing passengers and
potential new customers
Multimodal, integrated and seamless PT is necessary to develop
sustainable urban transport systems
Infrastructure needs to be carefully planned and prioritised to optimise
transport chains and the overall transport network
Long-term management, maintenance, upgrading and repair of both
vehicles and infrastructure.
Raise the awareness of and the commitment to PT
