SIU’s Mission
To enable urologists in all nations,
through international cooperation in
education and research, to apply the
highest standards of urological care to
their patients.
Membership
The Société Internationale d’Urologie is an
international democratic body whose prime objective
is to promote cooperation, education and exchange
among urologists of all nations and cultures.
Dues: US $150 per year. Members from
developing countries receive a discount on annual
dues based on the World Bank statistics for their
country’s annual per capita GDP.

Goals

To grant educational scholarships to surgeons from the
developing world for training in urology.

To provide teaching fellowships to urologists to teach urology
in the developing world.

To conduct research into the causes, controls and cures of
debilitating urological diseases, illness and conditions.

To advance medical education in urology in the
developing world by providing and assisting in the provision of
medical equipment, supplies and specialty books to university or
public hospitals, or clinical centres.
