Imports/ Exports
Foreign trade. As the result of consequent
liberalization of foreign trade for the first time were
achieved the significant growth rates of foreign turnover
(29,6%), export (30,3 %) and import (28,7 %).
To the growth rates as well as impacted the favorable
dynamics of world environment to the basic exporting
goods of the Republic. Positive dynamics was observed
in the activities of organizations with foreign
investments. Their turnover was increased up to 37,1 %,
including export up to 39,1 %, and import to 35,8%.

Transport of Tashkent city
Extensive organizational and presentation potential is reflected by the
fact that Tashkent has optimum transport and communication
connections with the outer world. In this regard, the basic load is laid
upon the international airport of the capital “Tashkent”, which is referred
to the first category of ICAO and receives airlines of all types from tens
of cities of all continents.
Within the internal municipal transport infrastructure, the main function
is still carried out by the capital’s subway which is only one in the
Central Asia. Tashkent subway is a dynamic and pollution-free structure
of public transport having 29 stations. One of the new lines of the
subway i.e. Yunusabad line consisting of six stations, was launched into
operation in 2001, and significantly simplified the transport
communication between large residential blocks and the centre of the
capital.
Car, tram and trolley-bus fleets are being methodically upgraded along
with the subway and extend their services.

Association " Toshshakhartranskhizmat " is the uniform
industrial-economic complex, to consumers rendering
transport service. The association is the authorized body
of an economic board city passenger transport, carries out
a management and economic regulation in the field of
transportation process on passenger transport, carries out
the uniform technical policy in development and perfection
of a network of passenger transportations.

The basic parameters
The basic kind of activity of the enterprises which are a part of
Association " Toshshakhartranskhizmat ", maintenance of need of
the population Tashkent city in transportations on regular city routes
is. For maintenance of transportation process of the enterprise of
association have a rolling stock in quantity of 1486 buses and
minibuses, 90 automobile taxi, 109 trams, 117 trolley buses and 212
cars of the underground. The enterprises of association serve 182
city routes. All types of transport on the average in day transport 2,0
million passengers.
The basic parameters on rendering transport services by the
enterprises of association for 2006 have made:
• Transportation (million pass.) - 565,6 million passenger
• Proceeds from rendering transport services (million sum) - 53 839,6
million sum.
