Our goal
 To
develop free software applied to
education and research
Free software – The four
freedoms
 Use
USE
•The freedom to use the work and enjoy the benefits os
using it.
STUDY
•The freedom to study the work and to apply knowledge
acquired from it.
COPY
•The freedom to make and redistribute copies, in whole or
in part, of the information or expression.
IMPROVE
•The freedom to make changes and improvements, and
to distribute derivative works.
Methodology

“Eficiencia Relativa” SOFTWARE
Use: Experimental Design courses, ANOVA topics, agricultural
research and quality control.
SOFTWARE
“Muestreos Estadísticos”

This is useful when making analysis in which it is needed to generate
data through primary sources, in addition to the fact that this topic
is studied in Methodology or Research Seminary courses and it is
used in descriptive type research.
SOFTWARE
“Generador de Escenarios V2.0”

Use: support in the decision making in the field of biofuel production in
Mexico. Produce projections/statistics of the national consumption and
imported fuels from Mexico and it also provides with strategies to the
savings of millions of dollars with the substitution of these importations to
the production of ethanol.
Conclusions and
Recommendations


It is concluded that free software development applied
to education and research are Information and
Communication Technologies that contribute in the
improvement of education quality and in the decrease
of the inequality of the digital gap.
It is recommended a case and control study, and an
evaluation of the grades obtained in a thematic unit
specially where open software was used as a support
for teaching in Higher Education Institutions.
