Device Summary
• TPA3140 is the next generation of TPA3110 family. Industry’s first mid power
(10Wx2) amplifier inductor free up to 1meter speaker cable.
• For A/C powered systems like TV, dock and PC speakers, TPA3140 with
Spread Spectrum provide excellent EMI improvement to replace inductors with
ferrite beads even for longer speaker cables as long as 1 meter but without
losing audio fidelity. This will help to save $0.12 of BOM. Device achieved
60uV idle channel noise.
• For battery powered systems like BT speakers, portable audio systems with
a minimum supply of 4.5V combined with low idle losses TPA3140 is ideal
for battery operations and provide longer battery life. TPA3110 require a
minimum of 8V.
• TPA3140 supports Auto Gain Limiter (AGL) allows non-clipping power limiting
and PLIMIT for clipping power limiting.
• Device has thermal fold back function which allows playback of audio at
lower levels when device temperature rises to thermal shutdown levels. It
simplifies the thermal design of the board.
