1.ABSTRACT:
This system proposes the solution for improving the security provided
by the transport management by using GPS and XBee integration. The system
mainly consists of two modules. Vehicle module and Caretaker module.
2.OBJECTIVE:
The purpose of the project is to know the location of the School Buses
or Company cabs with the GPS and sending information to the center via XBee.
In this process if the vehicle changes the usual way, that the information will be
given to care taker via XBee and the care taker can lock the vehicle.

4.METHODOLOGY:
This project is a integration of GPS- XBee to enhance the security for
School buses or company cabs will be use full to find out the current location of
the bus on a particular route for School buses or company cabs. This project
contains two embedded system modules one will placed inside the vehicle and the
other will be placed at the in charge of the vehicle. The location of vehicle can be
find out using GPS and can be sent to the ARM controller via interfacing stage to
check whether it has changed its route or not. If it changed its usual route then the
ARM controller will activate buzzer in the vehicle to indicate to the passengers
like it has changed its usual route.
If it is moving in same way, ARM will not activate loads. And all
information will be send to the Caretaker via XBee, If the vehicle changes its
route that time that
information will be displayed on both transmitter and
receiver display and the Caretaker can lock the vehicle by pressing the switch.
GPS Receiver gets the location information from satellites in the form of latitude
and longitude and sends the same information to the receiver via XBee.
5.ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES:
ADVANTAGES:
Automatic way of finding the location of the vehicle.
Consumes less power.
Provides very accurate data via GPS system.
Allows the remote location of asset from anywhere there is cellular Service..
Facilitates simple asset recovery and tracking.
Helps the visually disabled to navigate safely.
Information system at complicated places can be made automatic.
Improving the capacity of the system helps to cover large areas.
DISADVANTAGES:
The only thing that is clear about constitutional protections for location-based
service information is the lack of clarity.
6.APPLICATIONS:
1.
Public and private transportation.
2.
Stolen vehicle searching.
3.
Espionage/surveillance.
4.
Useful for visually impaired as an information guider for transportation
service.
5.
Can also be used as location identifier using suitable modifications.
6.
Can be used for providing security against theft and enemy alerts for blind
people.
7.
Can be implemented in trains and buses to provide information about the
upcoming stations to the passengers.
7.CONCLUSION:
In this System the transport management, designed and developed a
low cost system based on integration of GPS and XBee data is described. The
system consists of different modules which are linked wirelessly with XBee.
Cost effective XBee service is used for the transfer of data between the modules.
A new service, to facilitate the people who use school buses or company cabs for
traveling, is introduced. The service provides the user with current location
information of desired vehicle with locking system if it changes the usual way.
