Compact High Current DC-DC Voltage
Regulators
The iP1837 and iP1827 iPowIR® are voltage
regulators for point-of-load (POL) applications for up
to 35Amps and are the best solution for customers
who value efficiency and density. They are tailored to
server, storage, netcom and telecom applications that
require a compact and energy efficient design. The
devices integrate a control MOSFET, synchronous
FETKY, bootstrap diode, bootstrap capacitor and
internal over current protection in a small 7.7 x 7.7mm
LGA package, reducing component count and
shrinking PCB size by 20 percent compared to
discrete solutions without trading-off efficiency.

Advantages
• The IP1837 and IP1827 are highly integrated and the small footprint,
the high switching frequency and the excellent transient response
allows smaller total solution size
• The iP1837 and iP1827 provide a scalable solution for up to 35A with
best-in-class efficiency in comparable size over the entire load range
to offer energy savings and easy thermal management.
• The devices save energy, size and cost by operating directly from 12V
with the flexibility of 3.3V or 5V bias
• The devices are fully featured and protected for easy on board
implementation. Features include thermally compensated over-current
protection allowing flat current limit over temperature, pre-bias startup, over voltage protection, thermal shutdown, enable pin with voltage
monitoring capability, Power Good output, and programmable soft
start.
