Energy Production
• Wind turbines have a spin shaft that
connects to a generator
• Wind causes the turbines to spin and then
this in turn spins the shaft which creates
electricity in the generator
• This electricity is then transmitted from
the generator to a transformer
Transportation of Energy
• Once the energy is sent to the
transformaer it is converted to electrical
voltage
• Then electricity can then be sent through
transmission and distribution lines to
homes, businesses and other users.
Use of Wind Energy
• Once transmitted through lines from a
generator, this energy can be used for
practically anything
• Energy from wind turbines can be used to
power homes, office buildings, and even
factories
