Antitrust Admonition
ANTITRUST ADMONITION
ERCOT strictly prohibits Market Participants and their employees who are
participating in ERCOT activities from using their participation in ERCOT activities
as a forum for engaging in practices or communications that violate the antitrust
laws. The ERCOT Board has approved guidelines for members of ERCOT
Committees, Subcommittees and Working Groups to be reviewed and followed by
each Market Participant attending ERCOT meetings. If you have not received a
copy of these Guidelines, copies are available at the Client Relations desk. Please
remember your ongoing obligation to comply with all applicable laws, including the
antitrust laws.
DISCLAIMER
All presentations and materials submitted by Market Participants or any other Entity
to ERCOT staff for this meeting are received and posted with the acknowledgement
that the information will be considered public in accordance with the ERCOT

GENMAP Defined
GENMAP Packet Defined
Unit and Associated Resource Nodes:
The GENMAP’s first page contains the mapping of generating units to Resource
Nodes, or Settlement Points. Information such as the Unit’s and Resource Node’s
substation, as well as the Resource Node’s voltage level and Connected Devices are
listed. The Connected Devices are of all of the devices at a connectivity node where
the Resource Node is located. Note that the Resource Node may not be located at
the same connectivity node as the generating unit.
Unit-Associated EPS Meters:
The Unit-Associated EPS Meters page shows the mapping of each generating unit to
one or multiple EPS Meters. Information such as the Unit and EPS Meter’s
substation, as well as the EPS Meter’s Meter ID, RID and Connected Devices are
given. The Connected Devices consist of the devices at the connectivity node(s)
where the EPS Meter is located. Note that a Unit-Associated EPS Meter may be
located at a different substation than its mapped generating unit.
Unit-Associated EPS Flow-Calculation Modeling:
The Unit-Associated EPS Meter Flow-Calculation Modeling page shows the mapping
between a Unit-Associated EPS Meter and its associated conducting equipment used
in the Flow-Calculation. Information such as the Unit and EPS Meter’s substation,
Meter ID, RID and Connected Devices are given. The Flow-Calculation’s direction at
the connected device is also given. See Explanation Verifying EPS Meter FlowCalculation Modeling below.

General Info
•The one-lines are provided for two reasons – one to verify the accuracy of the meter and unit location
on the one-line; the second as a tool to verify the mapping.
•Each node and meter will have reference “Connections”. Each item listed in the connection column
will refer to all equipment electrically connected to the node or meter point. These connections are
represented as [CB]1234 or [XFMR]U1 and are shown on the one-line screenshots.
•The connections column identifies the equipment type by offsetting the type in brackets, such as
[CB]1234, where [CB] refers to the equipment type Circuit Breaker. The list below identifies the
common equipment types:
o[XFMR] Transformer
o[CB] Circuit breaker
o[DSC] Disconnect (switch)
o[UN] Generation Unit
o[LN] Line
o[LD] Load
o[SERIES] Series Device
o[SVC] Static-Var
Note: Transformer naming convention in GENMAP pkg is power transformer concatenation and may not match names
provided in the RARF.
•The one-line screenshot uses several colors to define the operating voltage of the equipment and
buses represented. The list below identifies the voltages associated with each color:
oPurple: 345kV
oGreen: 138kV
oBlue: 69kV
oPink: Other voltages
