Transceivers

Panasonic (Zigbee Modem)
 High level communication protocols (WPANs)
 16 channels, size (20 digital I/O lines), Power (120mW)

Vishay (RFW3M)
 Power (129mW), frequency agility (3 operating channels)
 A three wire serial bus for programming (data lost)

Vishay (RFW122)
 Power = 22mA×3.3V = 72.6 mW (Transmitting mode)
 Amplitude Shift Keying (ASK)
 3 line serial digital data I/O line interface
Chair Circuit
Test Setup
Schematic
Chair Circuit Specifications
 Needed to limit current consumption
› Changed to CMOS 555 timer circuits
› Used Linear Voltage Regulator
› Used CMOS inverter
 Changed to Vishay Transceiver
› Much less power consumption
› 11 X 15.9 mm
› Transmit and Receive for future handshake
applications.

Future Circuit Plans

Future plans for Door Circuit
› Need to filter out transmitted signal
 Vishay outputs noise when not receiving signal.
 Need to filter out unwanted signal.
› Use Vishay's abilities to do handshake

Future plans for Chair Circuit
› Make circuit rechargeable.
› Put circuit on PCB
