Specialists in DC Power
About us
Rectifier Technologies (RTP) is a Melbourne, Australia
based designer and developer of DC Power solutions. It
is credited as being the first company in the world to
develop a switch-mode 110/220 V rectifier for power
utilities in 1997.
RTP won the Australian Design Award for the
development of the RT4 series of power supplies. Other
notable achievements include the AusIndustry award for
commitment to business excellence, finalist in the
Business Asia award for the best use of technology in
Asia Pacific, and award for the Exporter of the Year.
With end-users of RTP present in most countries in the
world, it has a global footprint and exposure.
Manufacturing facilities are in Malaysia with distribution
channels in Asia, Europe and Americas.

Why Switch Mode?
Switch Mode power supplies use an internal control circuit to rapidly switch power transistor on and off in order to
stabilize output voltage or current
Benefits:
Facts:
Size & Weight: Higher frequencies mean smaller transformers
and therefore smaller systems
AC-DC Conversion Efficiency: Ideally 100% efficiency. Typical
values are >95%
Versatile Output Voltage: Can be higher, lower or even negative
to the input voltage
Power Factor: Higher Power Factor ensures more efficient
operation
Switched Mode based rectifiers can be upto 1/10th
the size and weight of Thyristor based rectifiers
With our Switch Mode Rectifiers, you don’t need
redundant systems. You only need redundant
rectifiers – Saves space and money
RT7 Overview
The RT4F-220V/12A is a switched mode
rectifier/charger module designed to provide up to 12A
of output current into a 220V nominal system. This
charger has been designed to be used in conjunction
with a battery to provide an uninterruptible DC power
system. The low noise and high reliability make it ideally
suited to industrial applications including switch tripping
and emergency lighting. Up to five chargers can fit in a
single magazine and large systems can be configured
using a single control and supervisory unit (MiniCSU).
Salient Features:
• 3 phase rectifier module
• Available in 48V/110V flavours
