Protection of operators and continuity
of supply
● Architecture based on safe access to compartments:
● protection of operators in the event of internal arcing
● complies with 5 criteria:
●les correctly secure doors and covers do not open
●no fragmentation of the enclosure occurs within the time specified for the test
●arcing does not cause holes in the accessible sides up to a height of 2m
●indicators do not ignite due to the effect of the hot gases
●the enclosure remains connected to its earthing point
● Satisfies continuity of supply requirements:
● maintenance with power on (LSC2B)
●secured access to compartments with power on thanks to separate busbar
and cable compartments
● the MV parts are compartmentalised by earthed metallic partitions
and shutters
Schneider Electric - MV LoB- G. Allison / M. Maitre – May 2010
18
Ease of maintenance
● Preventive and reduced maintenance
● Sepam protection unit:
●sum of currents broken
●event memorisation
●control circuit monitoring
●self-monitoring
● Simplicity of maintenance
● Periodic simple operation checking
● Cleaning and lubrication every 5 to10 years
