ETHICS:

The basic concepts and fundamental principles of
decent human conduct. It includes study of
universal values such as:

concern for health and safety and for the natural
environment.

◦ Equitable, fair, and just dealing with people that, although
pragmatically flexible according to the situation and times,
conforms to self-imposed high standards of public
conduct.
ETHICAL BEHAVIOR
◦ Acting in ways consistent with what society and individuals
typically think are good values.
◦ Ethical behavior tends to be good for business and involves
demonstrating respect for key moral principles that include
honesty, fairness, equality, dignity, diversity and individual
rights.

ETHICAL STANDARDS:
Principles that when followed, promote values such
as trust, good behavior, fairness, and/or kindness.
ETHICAL OBJECTIVES:
The goals set by an organization that fall within an
established set of moral guidelines or fair business
practices.
ETHICAL VALUES:
The set of established principles governing virtuous
behavior in order to help assure that the company
maintains a good business reputation.

ETHICAL ISSUE:
A problem or situation that requires a person or
organization to choose between alternatives that
must be evaluated as right (ethical) or wrong
(unethical).
ETHICAL RELATIVISM:
A tendency to make ethical choices only on the basis
of what looks right or reasonable according to one's
own belief or value system.
