intertwined

Wished to return to simpler forms of
worship & church organization
Demanded strict conformity
Society governed by Bible
Worked together for the common good
Viewed life as individual journey to
salvation
Bible provided model for writing
Favored plain style of writing
Clarity of expression
Uncomplicated sentences
Common speech; everyday language
