Purple cow
I never saw a Purple Cow,
I never hope to see one;
But I can tell you, anyhow,
I'd rather see than be one.

Little crocodile
How doth the little crocodile
Improve his shinning tail,
And pour the waters of the Nile
On every golden scale!
How cheerfully he seems to grin,
How neatly spreads his claws,
And welcomes little fishes in,
With gently smiling jaws!

The loin
The lion, the lion, he dwells in the
waste,
He has a big head and a very small
waist;
But his shoulders are stark,
And his jaws they are grim,
And a good little child will not play with
him.

A nice mice
I think mice
Are rather nice.
Their tails are long,
Their faces small,
They haven't any
Chins at all.
Their ears are pink,
Their teeth are white,
They run about
The house at night.
They nibble things
They shouldn't touch
And no one seems
To like them much.
But I think mice
Are nice.

Wind
Who has seen the wind?
Neither I nor you;
But when the leaves hang
trembling
The wind is passing through.
Who has seen the wind?
Neither you nor I;
But when the trees bow down their
heads
The wind is passing by.

Pretty picky sister
My sister's pretty picky.
She likes to pick a fight.
She always wants to pick the film
on family movie night.
She picks her teeth with toothpicks.
She's skilled at picking locks.
She picks her Mine craft pickaxe
to pick away at blocks.
She's always picking flowers.
She picks on her guitar.
She's even picky when she's
picking out a candy bar.
I only wish that, now and then,
she might pick up her clothes.
I also wish she wasn't
quite so picky with her nose.

Poems
A funny cat
I taught my cat to clean my room,
to use a bucket, brush and broom,
to dust my clock and picture frames,
and pick up all my toys and games.
He puts my pants and shirts away,
and makes my bed, and I would say
it seems to me it's only fair
he puts away my things on the chair.
In fact, I think he's got it made.
I'm not as happy with our trade.
He may pick up my shoes and socks,
but I clean out his litter box.
