Actual Booklet
• You can use a scrap book, binder or
plastic folder
– HOWEVER:
– The cover must be decorated by
YOU!
– It must be WELL bound together!
– It must be neat and presentable
– The BOOK must have a title

Each poem should have a title
The Limericks, Haikus, Diamantes can be
funny and cute (YOU NEED 2 OF EACH)
The Terza Rima, Villanelle and Sestina need
to be deeper, more emotional and have
some sort of theme
Don’t forget the Terza Rima must be 4
stanzas!
The poems can be typed…
MUST BE ORIGINAL POEMS– IE: YOU WRITE
THEM
Visuals
• You need a visual for EVERY poem
• It can be drawn- if you do draw them,
they have to be more than stick
figures… neat and presentable!!!
• They can be “found objects” such
leaves, flowers, card, fabric ect…
• Clip art is fine, but please don’t only
use that for each of your visuals; use it
sparingly… use other things as well
• The idea is that you are creative!!!
TURNITIN.COM
• Must be turned in to turnitin.com even if
your poems are hand written in your
turned in poetry booklet (in other words,
you have to type them on word to upload
them on turnitin.com)
• Must be uploaded by Friday May 22nd by
5:00 pm
• It is open now!
