Where is ecosystem located?
North America
South America
Asia
Europe
Australia
Japan
Describe the abiotic factors of
your ecosystem
At the end of autumn all the leaves drop of the branches
Chlorophyll makes leaves green
Chlorophyll makes plants grow in the sunlight
The soil is fertile
There are 4 seasons: winter, summer, fall, spring
Producer: deciduous tree. How does
your producer rely on other
organisms in your ecosystem to
survive?
Water, plants, and sun help trees to survive
Worms help decompose leaves which makes soil
fertile
How do other organisms of your
ecosystem rely on your producer to
survive?
Chestnuts, beechnuts, and acorns are food for some
animals
Caterpillars eat leaves of trees.
Pollen and nectar provide food for bugs and birds
Leaves, twigs, and bark allow insects to blend in.
How do humans affect your
ecosystem?
People cut down trees and plants
Pollution – Acid Rain- Leaves fall of trees
Pesticides affect the food chain-birds lay eggs with
thin shells-less birds born
Choose one biotic or abiotic factor in
your ecosystem & describe how a
change in one of these could your
ecosystem.
Deer are getting hunted
More plants and trees – deer not eating them
Insects live in plants and trees
Trees die because more insects in plants and trees
Other interesting facts:
There are many different animals in our ecosystem
If you take all of one animal in our ecosystem it will
affect the whole Deciduous Forest!
