• There are about 260 known living species
of monkey
• Many just live in trees
• Some species live mostly on the ground
such as baboons
• Monkeys are generally considered to be
intelligent
• Unlike apes, monkeys usually have tails

– 14cm to 1metre
– 120 grams to 35 kilograms
• Their diets differ but usually contain any
of the following:
– fruit, leaves, seeds, nuts, flowers, eggs and
small animals (including insects and
spiders).

forbidden

Africa, where they can be sold as "bush
