We designed our
system as a Modified
Wick System.
We collaborated with
our partner group,
concluding that our
independent variable
would be the method
of water transport:
wicks vs. pumps.
Recorded and found
methods of obtaining
our materials.
Calendar
o December 1, 2008
must have started designing
and/or building system.
o December 19, 2008
system must be in place by
then
o January 5-9, 2008
planting must be done
Plant Growth
Plants are located near a window.
And only tap water is being used
Some problems we experienced
during growing include:
–
White spots
–
Paling of color
–
Withering leaves
Now the problems have
disappeared.
Flower-buds are present on leaves.
Growth after October 13, 2008 had
been to much to calculate. But it
has been substantial.

Light from the fixture is from either the red or blue spectrum which
will promote flowering from the plants.
