• Imagine you are standing in a field of wildflowers. You
are surrounded by bright colors and sweet fragrances.
You can hear bees buzzing from flower to flower.
• What things in this scenario are
involved in the process of pollination?
Objectives
• Match the flower parts with their
reproductive functions. (SPI 0707.4.2)

1. Observe and draw the flower at your lab table.
2. Using a dissecting tool, open up the flower and draw what
you see inside. BE CAREFUL! YOU ONLY GET ONE
FLOWER!
3. Analyze and predict the function of the parts of the
flower. Write down your predictions.
4. Share with the class.

Match the actual flower part names & functions with the parts of
the flower you see.
6. Label your drawings with the actual flower part names and
functions.
