have fair weather. In low pressure
systems, warm air holding water vapor
rises. Water vapor condenses on dust
particles and forms clouds.

evaporated and moved over

This is why warm air holds
more water than cold air. It is
also why warm air rises.
What is the fact that warm air
is less dense than cold air?
This is how oceans keep
Earth’s climate mild.
Ocean currents help to bring warm water from the
equator to areas of the Earth that are closer to the
poles and colder. When that warm water reaches
land in those areas, it is evaporated and moved
over land as water vapor by convection currents.
There, it condenses to water and releases heated
energy into the atmosphere, warming the climate
of that cold area. This also keeps the tropical
regions near the equator a little cooler.
