Plain.Then there is marshes.Marshes is tall

is in the west part of
NC

 It is next to the
Piedmont
What Is The Climate There?

In the day times averaging is in the low 40’s
and upper 30’s. Snowfall in the mountains
is usually 14-20 inches (36-51cm.) per year,
but greater in the higher elevations.One
time in the blizzard of1993, more than 50in.
(130cm.) of snow fell on Mount Mitchell
over a period of days.
How Big Is The Mountain
Region

The mountain region takes up to 11,000
square miles. It is roughly the size of
Massachusetts.

John D. Rockefeller Jr. gave $5 million
dollars to create the Great Smokey National
park.
 People hike there and ski and have tours
 About 10 million people visit the park every
