Updating library-managed switch and firewall firmware
Ensuring DNS, DHCP, routing, vLANs, other network services are
configured for better compliance with standards and best practices
Ensuring point-to-point connections are not generating excessive CRC
errors
Reduce network broadcast packet traffic, where possible
Updating local computer hardware drivers
For affected computers, replacing patch cables of unknown quality that
are in the cable path from the computer to the firewall
