UMA Service Overview
2. Inside the Home Zone, the
UMA phone set up a WIFI
connection with the Home Zone
Box. It switches into UMA mode
(icon appears on the phone).
1. Outside the Home Zone,
the end user makes phone
calls through the GSM
network.
3. In the Home Zone, the end user benefits from
voice abundance. All incoming / outgoing calls
are routed through the Home Zone Box. The
hand set is treated like a mobile phone; it gains
access to all its Orange mobile services (SMS,
MMS, Orange World Portal, Mail)
4. Hand Over service is
available if the end user leaves
its AP coverage during a phone
call. (the call is not released)
