Electronic Health Record
 Electronic Health Record has been tried in several
countries, but none of them has achieved a national
system of EHR.
 Iran is in the process of embedding an EHR system,
particularly in the insurance industry (1392)

 Biosensors are widely available, are cheap and many
more types are in the development phase
 New models may also include nanosensors, sensors
based on protein and other biological materials, and
non-invasive chemical sensors
 Iran is heavily investing in nanosciences,
neuroscience, and other new medical technologies

Scenario
 Heart section receives an automatic text message from
processing center that a suspicious activity in the ECG of
patient X is detected, which is different from his past-year
average ECG. On-call doctor looks at the data from his BP,
ECG and Oximeter and decides that it is fine.
 Thermometer from patient Y detects a higher-than-normal
temperature from around the surgery site of the last week.
Doctor calls the patient and asks him to take a picture and
decides that it is in the initial stage of infection and needs
immediate antibiotic.
