Otto I was the best known Saxon king of
the Frankish Kingdom. The Frankish
Kingdom became Germany under Otto I
 Otto was named “Otto The Great”

Otto And The Catholic Church
For his allegiance to the Pope and the
Roman Catholic church, Otto was
crowned Holy Roman Emperor.
 Such a title was not used since the time
of Charlemagne.

