The God Revealed to Moses
“I AM” from Hebrew “YHWH”
Derived from Hebrew verb HAYAH: “To be”
Early Hebrew words had no vowels, vowels added later.
Formed the name: “Jehovah”
During years of silence, ideas arose that “Jehovah was too
holy to be spoken”.
So vowels from the Hebrew word for Lord: “Adonai” were
assigned to “Jehovah”.
KJV translators used the word “Lord” in the English translation.
Modern versions translate it different ways.
