Weird Weather!!!
1) Has it really been known to rain
“frogs”?
2)Why do cows lie down before it rains?
3) How could there be a year without a

What IS weather, anyway?
Weather!
1) Meteorology is the study of the atmosphere- including
weather. Meteorologist, then, are scientists that study
Earth’s atmosphere and weather
2) Weather is the condition of the atmosphere. It can
change from time to time and place to place.
3) Climate is the type of weather an area has over a long
period of time.
4) The Atmosphere is the thin layer of gases that
surrounds our planet
Conditions of the Atmosphere that
interest Meteorologists the most:
Temperature
Air Pressure
Humidity
Wind
Clouds
Precipitation
You’ll learn what ALL of these mean soon…
the atmosphere:
The atmosphere is split up
into 4 layers
Are separated by the
variation of temperature
patterns.
