Grading
• Grades are not weighted
• The total number of points earned are
divided by total number of points
possible.
• Students must turn in work on time.
The next day it’s late. Then, no credit
is awarded.
What does a typical day look like?
• *Objective Questions: Students ask
questions based on the objective for the
day – ensures understanding
• *Warm Up: recaps previously learned
information or probes prior knowledge on
a new topic
• Activity: self-guided activity, class
discussions, debates, group work
• *Closure: reviews the topics covered in
today’s lesson / notebook
WHAP Readings, Activities,
Assessments & Writing
• Based on skills necessary for successful
attainment of AP credit
• More critical thinking –not rote
memory
